Founder - Director
For Anubha Doshi, Founder-Director of Artsphere, psychology and dance have been her passions. A few years ago, she set out to amalgamate the two by establishing Artsphere, a unique arts and healing centre in Pune. The pioneer in Dance Movement Therapy in Pune, Anubha is an associate member of the ADTA (American Dance Therapy Association) and CID (International Dance Council) France. She is also on the advisory board of CMTAI (Creative Movement Therapy Association of India.
A Dance Movement Therapy Practitioner, Anubha holds coveted degrees in English Literature, Communication Management and Clinical Psychology. A classical and contemporary dance performer, she has also studied Buddhist Psychology and is currently pursuing the Presence-Oriented Psychotherapy course from the Just Being Center, Pune.
Karishma, a dancer and Reiki practitioner, is a graduate in Applied Psychology from Delhi University and holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Pune University. She has been learning and performing dance since the age of 4 and has received training in various dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Ballet, Contemporary, Folk and Belly Dance.
Along with ensuring the overall smooth functioning of Artsphere, she continues to choreograph and perform regularly at events and festivals along with practicing dance movement therapy. Her recent performances include those at the British Library, in Pune and at the PEN@Prithvi at the Prithvi Theater in Mumbai.
Executive In Charge
Akanksha has completed an MBA in Communication Management from Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication (SIMC), Pune. Post the degree, she has worked with global corporate organizations in the field of Marketing Communications and Branding for more than 2 years.
She then handled Marketing and Communications at Artsphere. She was responsible for ideation and strategizing of integrated marketing campaigns.
Akanksha now works in the capacity of Executive in Charge and handles all business and operations at Artsphere and Soulsphere, our therapy wing.
Through her work at Artsphere, she also follows her passion in dance and art. She is an avid dancer and has learnt many forms and styles. She is also an alumna of Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Applied Arts and Crafts where she completed her graduation in Applied Arts.
Director - Soulsphere
Akshata Parekh is a Counsellor and an Expressive Arts Therapy practitioner. She is presently working as the Director of Soulsphere in Pune. She is an expressive arts therapy practitioner with the Muktangan Rehabilitation Centre and with Taal Inc. Art Talks. She is also a drum circle facilitator at Taal Inc., a consulting mental health professional at Tavisca Solutions Pvt. Ltd, and a dance teacher at Carnations Pre-school. She is pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Psychology: Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University (Boston). She has completed courses in Dance Movement therapy, Visual Art therapy and NLP, in India. She is a certified ‘Rhythm-to-recovery’ facilitator (a program using rhythm in therapeutic settings).
With a constant thirst for learning and exploration, she volunteered for the Franciscan Life Process Center, Music Settlement and Ronald McDonald House in the USA. She has been in the field of expressive arts for over 5 years. Additionally, she leads various expressive arts groups as a part of psychology training programs at Fergusson college and LAHI. She has worked extensively with special needs populations. With a love for dance, and training in Bharatnatyam, semi-classical and contemporary dance, she went on to study West African Dance and has performed nationally and internationally.
She is highly enthusiastic & energetic. She brings with her into every session boundless energy, enthusiasm, smiles and endless zest. She believes in the power of arts for health and well-being and her passion is to spread awareness of the same and make it reach as many people as possible.
Manager - Finance
Amit Khandare is a B.E. (Production) with over 9 years of experience in the BNFS domain. With a keen interest in expanding his horizons, he also handles the Ashraya Project at Artsphere along with taking care of the financial aspects.
Manager - Studio Operations
Atul Prabhale is an Aikido and Reiki practitioner with a deep interest in meditation and self-work. Recently he finished his diploma course in Mahayana Buddhist Psychology from the Pune University. In the past, he has worked at the IDBI Bank as a Senior Development Officer as a Research Associate at the American Home Mortgage Co..
He was the Course Manager at the Vipassana Center, Markal, and also did voluntary service, apart from completing a 20-day long Vipassana Meditation Course at Shrawasti in Luknow. He has conducted meditations like 'MITRA Upakram - Mind in Training Right Awareness Workshops' with over 40,000 children from schools in Pune, with the MITRA Upakram team. He is a regular practitioner of meditation and would like to conduct meditation courses for adults & children.
